Falling into a new project
Thankful for my writing instructor for telling me about this platform
Tis the season for starting something new.
For me this seems like the season is never ending. I love to learn and start new things and share them with others. My husband never really knows what I will be doing next. Work is consistent and always keeping me busy so when I am at home my mind races and wanders and looks for new things, has new ideas and loves to go go go.
I recently started taking a create writing memoir class and it has allowed me to look back on my life from new perspectives. Anytime we look back on things we are older than when we first experienced them so it adds a different sense to when we lived those moments. I am using my “free” time to look back at my lived experiences so that I can really go back and process them and share why I am the way I am with others. Maybe to heal myself. Maybe to help others. We will see where this takes us.
I always say, as corny as it sounds, “What is in the middle of community? U and I". I know super lame but it really is a basic fundamental breakdown of the meaning and idea of community. I would love to use this platform as a way to express my own thoughts and feelings about life while also practicing my creative writing. Even more, though, is that I am hoping to learn from others writing and experiences and expand my own community by really getting to know more about other humans and how they live and experience life.
To start, I will be posting as much as I can while maintaining other aspects of my life. I am hoping to set a goal of weekly. I know there will be opportunity for me to expand and grow and even possibly have subscribers. I want to grow and hear from you all on what you think about my writing and experiences as well.
I look forward to this new adventure of writing, creating, sharing, learning and growing. I will be using books to help me think of new things to write about, such as prompt books and journal idea books, so if you have any recommendations please let me know!
